Heart Opener Exercise

Need to open your heart? This gentle exercise will start to create physical space within your chest.

Duration: 3-11 minutes

Play Ong Namo by Snatam Kaur:

You will need a bolster or block for this exercise.

Seated on the floor, legs stretch out in front of you with feet together, slowly roll back and place the bolster or block behind your shoulder blades, along your spine. Slowly roll back, drop the head back (if this is too intense, you can prop the head up under a long bolster or pillow). Open your arms out to the side, palms facing up. Let your chest open and Breathe into this space.

Slow deep breathing.

Let the music move through you.

Breathe slowly and deeply.

You can stay in this posture for anywhere from 3 -11 minutes.

"The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched. They must be felt with the heart."
